People focused on the psychological damage of not returning to school haven’t considered the psychological damage for kids who bring the virus that makes a parent or sibling sick or worse home from school. I’ve had Covid — and my teen kids (who all tested negative and had done very little socializing since March) were petrified. I cannot imagine the additional emotional trauma if any one of them had been the vector it had come in on. The burden of that guilt would’ve been considerable — and I’m someone who’s “recovered”….

I support your tough decision and will be making the same one. And I agree — you don’t want to wrong on this one, but then you don’t want to be right.
